On My Way to Wal-mart Series: Pineapple 101

When I hit these fields, I know I have about 20 minutes left in my trip to Wal-mart.

There are endless fields of them it seems.

That’s probably why when people use them, they think “Hawaii”.

They grow in the ground.

Can you see them? Growing on the top of the plant that’s in the ground. When my son saw this picture, he was shocked. I’ll admit, when I was a kid, I thought they grew underground as well.

They don’t grow on trees. Some people get them confused with these guys.

Don’t mistake them for these guys either (that’s actually a palm tree).

Now go tell all your friends what you learned.
